Delivery Information

Shipments and Returns

For all orders received on weekdays, we aim to post them the next working day, wherever possible. Bank holidays and weekends will delay the despatch of orders until the next working day. All packages are dispatched within 2 working days after receipt of payment and are shipped using your specified mail preference via Royal Mail in the UK. We have calculated the shipping costs based on the weight of the items, the size, and the packaging costs for the items you have ordered. All international orders are shipped via Royal Mail, and tracked delivery is recommended.  Any dates quoted for the delivery of the goods are approximate only, and Rainbow Caching shall not be liable for any delay in the delivery of the goods. Rainbow Caching does not accept liability for any additional import duties or taxes but will ensure these are as accurate as possible. Any additional fees will not be refunded to the buyer.

Shipping fees include handling and packing fees, as well as postage costs. Handling fees are fixed, whereas transport fees vary according to the total weight and size of the shipment. We advise you to group your items in one order. We cannot group two distinct orders placed separately, and shipping fees will apply to each of them. Your package will be dispatched at your own risk, but special care is taken to protect fragile objects.

Collect at an Event
We have previously tried collection at events, but due to the complexity of it during a busy trading day, it does not work well. Due to this, we do not offer the option to preorder for collection at an event.

Free UK Shipping
Orders over £50 (before shipping) qualify for free shipping. Only the destination country of the United Kingdom qualifies for free shipping. This offer does not apply to the Channel Islands or any other country outside of the UK. Free shipping will be Tracked 48 via Royal Mail or an alternative service from another provider, chosen at our discretion. Some discount codes may not qualify for free shipping. Orders may be split into multiple deliveries.


Returns
Faulty items may be returned for replacement up to 7 days after receipt. If you have received a faulty or damaged item, please contact us with your order details within five working days from the date you received the package.

Missing and/or Delayed Delivery
If an issue has been experienced with delivery in previous orders, requiring a claim to be raised with the local postal service or re-sending of goods, and tracked/signed postage has not been used, standard delivery will no longer be accepted for your orders. All future orders will need to use signed and/or tracked delivery, and any orders with standard delivery will be cancelled and refunded. If you have chosen a delivery option with no insurance, Rainbow Caching will not accept liability for any missing items, nor will replacement items be resent.


Standard Delivery & No Insurance
If you have chosen a delivery option with no insurance, Rainbow Caching will not accept liability for any missing items, nor will replacement items be resent. You accept full responsibility when choosing a delivery option with no insurance, and you will need to follow up directly with your local mail provider to recover the items or any costs incurred. The following services have no insurance:

  • First Class Standard Post
  • Second Class Standard Post
  • International Standard
  • International Economy

Delivery Times

How long your item takes to deliver item is dependent on Royal Mail’s delivery times. The standard delivery times are as follows:

  • First Class Standard Post & Signed For: 1 to 2 working days
  • Second Class Standard Post & Signed For: 2 to 3 working days
  • International Standard – Europe: 3 to 5 working days
  • International Standard – Worldwide: 6 to 7 working days
  • International Tracked & Signed – Europe: 3 to 5 working days
  • International Tracked & Signed – Worldwide: 5 to 7 working days
  • International Economy – Eastern Europe: Up to 5 weeks
  • International Economy – Western Europe: Up to 2 weeks
  • International Economy – North America: Up to 6 weeks
  • International Economy – South America, Africa & Asia: Up to 8 weeks
  • International Economy – Australia: Up to 12 weeks

International Orders

If you are placing an order from outside the UK, we will send this to you as Delivery Duties Unpaid, which means you will be liable to pay any import fees (VAT, duty, handling fees, etc) and we will not be able to pay these for you unless otherwise specified. Rainbow Caching does not accept liability for any additional import duties or taxes but will ensure these are as accurate as possible. Any additional fees will not be refunded to the buyer, and it is the buyer’s responsibility to pay these charges. Any returned packages due to failure to pay will be refunded to the buyer, less any postage or additional fees incurred from the return.

Shipping to the European Union, the European Economic Area, and Northern Ireland

As of 13th December 2024, we are no longer able to ship to the EU, EEA, and Northern Ireland. This is due to the GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation) coming in to effect, and the costs required to continue operating being far too big for small businesses like Rainbow Caching Limited.

We are still able to sell direct to businesses (B2B) without this restriction, so please contact us if you are a business customer.
