2026 International Geocaching Day Geocoin

August 15 is International Geocaching Day! 

Every year on the third Saturday in August, people around the world celebrate this amazing game and the people who play. A great way to celebrate is to earn a digital souvenir, and also to get this really cool geocoin! Between August 14 and 16, 2026, make sure to get outside and play (by logging any geocache, Adventure Lab® Location, or Event) to earn the International Geocaching Day 2026 finders souvenir!

You can also earn a 2026 hider souvenir! To earn this souvenir, geocachers must have a non-event geocache (excluding Adventure Lab®) published between August 1 and August 31, 2026.

The theme for this year’s International Geocaching Day is the aurora borealis.
